Little Sisters of the Poor (L.S.P) (St Francis Xavier’s Home for the Elderly) The Little Sisters of the Poor is a home set up by Roman Catholic nuns for looking after the elderly poor². The home in Kuala Lumpur is located in Cheras, and is also called St Francis Xavier’s Home for the Elderly². It is similar to the Little Sisters of the Poor in Penang².
The Little Sisters of the Poor are an international congregation of Roman Catholic women religious founded in 1839 by St Jeanne Jugan³. They serve the elderly poor in over 30 countries around the world³. Their mission is to offer the neediest elderly of every race and religion a home where they will be welcomed as Christ, cared for as family, and accompanied with dignity until God calls them to himself³.
“Little Sisters of the Poor” adalah sebuah rumah yang ditubuhkan oleh biarawati Katolik Rom untuk menjaga orang tua yang miskin. Rumah ini terletak di Cheras, Kuala Lumpur dan juga dikenali sebagai “Rumah St Francis Xavier untuk Warga Emas”. Ia serupa dengan “Little Sisters of the Poor” di Penang.
