Limbs For Life (LFL) is a welfare project under the Bandar Utama Buddhist Society (BUBS) that provides free artificial limbs to underprivileged amputees in Malaysia, regardless of their race or religion.
LFL serves as a beacon of hope, restoring self-dignity and freeing amputees from physical constraints. By offering them a second chance at life, LFL empowers amputees to overcome challenges and regain their independence. Many of these individuals were once able-bodied and mentally sound, but unfortunate circumstances left them immobile and unproductive.
The provision of free prosthetic limbs by LFL enables these amputees to lead full, independent, and productive lives. LFL firmly believes in the potential of each individual and the value they can bring to society. A meaningful and productive life for every person benefits not only the amputees themselves but also their spouses, children, and caregivers.
LFL appeals for support in granting amputees a renewed lease on life. They encourage individuals and corporations to contribute to LFL through their corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs. The project requests yearly pledges to sustain the Limbs For Life Prostheses Centre, ensuring comprehensive support for amputees. All sponsorships towards LFL are eligible for tax exemptions. With a dedicated team of volunteers and technical expertise from the Prostheses Foundation, LFL seeks continued funding to cover operational costs and expand their outreach to those less fortunate. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of amputees.
