Rumah Sejahtera Seri Setia is an old folk’s home that is partially subsidised by the government in Petaling Jaya. There are about 60 elderly citizens ageing from 60 to 100 years old. It is a four-storey building with the first and second floors being shared bedrooms for male folks, while the third floor is for female folks, and the ground floor and top floor for public multipurpose areas. Most of the old folks are single and unmarried. Some of them are bedridden as they are too weak and old while the rest are physically independent. Most of the old folks communicate in Hakka, Cantonese and Mandarin. There are 2 caretakers who manage the house and 1 chef who prepare the meals.
