SEED or Pertubuhan Kebajikan dan Persekitaran Positif Malaysia is the first Trans-Led community-based organization in Malaysia. Officially registered in 2014, SEED was created to ensure that there are support services available for those socially excluded, especially the Transgender community.
THE BEGINNING OF SEED
MAKING IT WORK!
As such, we rolled up our sleeves, pulled our resources together, sought support and funding from the public and were able to set up our centre in Chow Kit, to enable us to continue our services for the community. At SEED, we stay true to our motto – Nobody Gets Left Behind. Giving up was never an option for us, not when we have over 9800 people who were dependent on our support and services.
THE BIG MOVE
Today we are proud to say, with the support of our Friends of SEED, our drop-in centre is now located at 69, Jalan Tiong Nam, Chow Kit. Our premises albeit small, is absolutely cosy and provides a warm place for the socially excluded community to seek shelter from the harsh realities of the street.
We will continuously seek new ways of sourcing for funding and resources to support our community and open up possibilities to make different choices for the betterment of their lives and their families
