Association of Environmental Consultants and Contractors of Malaysia (AECCOM) The Association of Environmental Consultants and Companies of Malaysia, in short AECCOM, was formed in 1992, with the encouragement and support of the then Former Director General of the Department of Environment, Prof Dato’ Ir Dr Abu Bakar Jaafar.
The primary purpose is to look after the interests of its members drawn from all sectors of the environmental business. Current priorities are to establish a link with the regulatory authorities as well as privatisation concessionaires and industries to enable its members to play meaningful role.

1. To promote professionalism and ethical practices.
2. To provide quality goods and services that are fair to both the client and the service provider.
3. To comply with all relevant legislation in both the letter and the spirit.
4. To safeguard the health and safety of workers and the general public.
5. To protect the environment while allowing for sustainable development.
