Pusat Kebajikan Kalvari (PKK) serves as a refuge for various vulnerable individuals, including single mothers and their children, as well as abused women. The center welcomes those facing diverse challenges, such as unwed pregnancy, newborn care, parenting with multiple children, and individuals seeking safety from abusive situations.

PKK’s History and Mission

PKK’s journey began in December 1989 with the establishment of its first home on ‘Jalan Dapat’ in Johor Bahru, Johor. Over the years, PKK has expanded its reach, with 23 homes and centers now operating within the Johor Bahru region. These homes and rehabilitation centers are founded on the principle of extending love and care to the community. Through the grace of God, PKK addresses the needs of the helpless, abused, abandoned, and disadvantaged individuals, offering them a place of refuge where they can be rehabilitated and restored, providing hope for their future.

PKK also plays a crucial role in supporting intellectually disabled individuals through its Special Education Centers, offering vital intervention and learning assistance.

Future Development – Calvary Care Village

PKK is in the process of developing Calvary Care Village, which spans a 13.6-acre plot of land in Pasir Gudang, Johor. This centralized rehabilitation center will cater to individuals dealing with substance abuse and psychological challenges, particularly men. The annual operational costs of PKK’s homes and centers in Johor amount to RM2.53 million, with Calvary City Church, the founding church, contributing approximately 30% of the finances. The remaining 70% is generously provided by the general public, including individuals and corporations, who have faithfully supported PKK through their donations.

Range of Services

Currently, PKK offers shelter, sustenance, nurturing, education, and rehabilitation to more than 580 individuals, encompassing residents, children attending the day special education center, and caregivers. The organization incurs significant expenses related to food, utilities, rental fees, vehicle maintenance, vehicle loan repayments, and workers’ salaries.
