The FunGates Superflow Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Ms. Clarine Chun in April 20071. It is dedicated to serving the community with social, welfare, or health needs1. The foundation received its tax-exempt status on 15 April 20081.
Before the foundation was established, various community programs had been operating since June 2001 under an organization known as Superflow1. FunGates Sdn Bhd, established in 1997, is the provider of the FunGates System, a home-grown pre-school system with over 60 pre-school users in Malaysia1.
The foundation runs several programs:
- FunGates Superflow Foundation–NKF Dialysis Centre
- Superkids Trinity-National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Haemodialysis Centre
- Soup Kitchens in Alor Star and Kuala Lumpur, a feed-the-poor program in a coffee-shop setting
- Rumah Superkids, a home for neglected children
- SuperTouch, school for down’s syndrome and autistic children
- SuperHope, a training centre for mentally challenged adults
- SuperFun, a recreation centre for old folks
- SuperWish, a program to meet the last wishes of terminally ill children
- Outreach programs to the poor and homeless1
The foundation’s mission is to give a better quality of life to the sick, the poor, and the needy, provide shelter for those who are orphaned, neglected, abused, and underprivileged, and provide children with developmental delays and learning difficulties the opportunity to achieve their full potential1. It also aims to empower people with special needs to live an independent and meaningful life, and to enrich the emotional, intellectual, spiritual, social, and physical well-being of those they help1.
