According to the White Eagle (Helang Putih) Legend; Seni Silat Kegayungan (A) Acheh Helang Putih was originated from Acheh, North Sumatera, Indonesia. It started from the prince called Raja Sulung Tunggak Pahlawan who lost in the jungle while hunting because he followed a white eagle which attracted his eye – until he then arrived in a cave. The white eagle was actually a strong warrior (Ratu Agung Radin Dindiar) who was cursed by his father. Raja Sulung Tunggak Pahlawan learned this ‘silat’ from Ratu Agung Radin Dindiar. After finished his study, he went back to his palace and spread this self defense to all residents of that palace.

This silat is an inherited silat (family owned) but now Abdul Aziz bin Mohd Ali ( Yang Mulia Mahaguru Doctor Raja Aziz Laksamana Hoja Andak) the grandchild of Raja Sulung Tunggak Pahlawan spread this self defense all over the country. He inherited this silat from his teacher – Radin Ismail at Johor, Malaysia.
