What is the vision and mission of Project BAWE?

Project Mission:

  • To provide free personalised home tuition to children living in poverty and provide them with additional learning opportunities by exposing them to extracurricular activities such as piano, chess, robotics or sports.

Project Vision :

  • To help people living in poverty break out of the poverty cycle by providing quality education for their children.
  • To prevent children who are currently living in poverty to be unemployed in the future when automation takes over by providing them with social skills and quality education.

Where and when is our volunteering session?

  • Day and time: Every Saturday, 4 pm -6 pm
  • Venue: Currently, we are operating at Desa Mentari Block 9&10. If you have any suggestions on the expansion of this project, we welcome you to do so. Please contact us at [email protected] with the title “Expansion and suggestion of project venue”

How our volunteering session going to be carried out?

A few volunteers will be assigned to a household based on the interest of the volunteers and the needs of our clients. Every household will have a volunteer leader, in which he/she will guide new volunteer onto introducing the family and familiarise with the progress of the students.
A file containing information about the students, on what has been taught in the past, and what should be taught based on the last experience will be given to each household before the volunteering experience. 
For teaching materials and resources, we have a Google Drive which is accessible by our volunteer and our volunteers can freely use or upload resources and materials as they see fit.
