Stairway to Hope Learning Centre is an alternative school for school-age Filipino Children who do not go to proper school in Sabah, Malaysia due to lack of documents to apply student visa from Immigration Department Sabah. Many of these children grew up without having to learn how to read and write even until the age of 17 years old.
Stairway To Hope Learning Centre provide free education to the children at the age of 7 to 16 years of age.
Started in June 6, 2012, the classes for English, Malay, Mathematics and Good Manners and Right Conduct had been introduce to the 120 children of STH Many of them learned so fast that every one who witnessed them during the contest in reading, writing and counting were amazed at their progress in just 5 months. STH children recognized the value of learning and hunger for more lessons and interaction among other children in the school.
