Tenaganita, established in 1991, originated from the struggles of women workers in plantations and industrial sectors to secure their rights as workers, including fair wages, decent living conditions, and an end to discrimination and gender-based violence. Since then, their mission has evolved to address human rights violations across various sectors, focusing on issues such as exploitation, discrimination, unequal treatment, and violence. Tenaganita’s work extends to women, refugees, documented and undocumented migrant workers, trafficked individuals, domestic workers, sex workers, and people living with HIV/AIDS.
